UNC — GA System-Wide Surveys

UNC-GA requires all schools in the UNC system External Link to participate in various surveys of students. UNC-GA compiles the results and provides reports including trend data for all campuses.

UNC-GA Graduating Senior Survey (GSS):

The UNC-GA GSS research design calls for the survey to be administered to all May graduates. Between 1998-2010 the survey was to be administered every two years, and after 2010 it moved to a triennial administration. NC State expands on the UNC-GSS, administering it to both December and May graduates and adding to the number of questions included on it. Complete results and documentation on the NC State GSS are available online.

UNC-GA Sophomore Survey (SOPH):

The UNC-GA SOPH research design calls for the survey to be administered to all 2nd semester sophomores who have completed between 45 and 60 credit hours, with at least 30 at their current institution, at the start of the Spring semester. Between 1998-2010 the survey was to be administered every two years, and after 2010 it moved to a triennial administration. In 2010 the survey was extensively revised, so trend reports from previous years do not include the 2010 results. NC State expands on the UNC-SOPH by adding to the number of questions included on it. Complete results and documentation on the NC State SOPH are available online.

NC State, which continues to administer the survey to incoming freshman, expands on the UNC-FY by adding to the number of questions included on it. Complete results and documentation on the NC State FY are available online.
