Employee Engagement Survey
Survey Background
The Employee Engagement Survey is a UNC System Office initiative in which all institutions in the system are required to participate. The biennial survey, administered every other spring semester since 2018, is designed to collect data for metrics related to UNC Strategic Plan goals. In particular, the survey allows UNC System and institution-level leadership to address potential challenges as well as identify and celebrate successes in fostering employee engagement. More information about the initiative is available on the UNC-SO website for the project.
At NC State, the administration, analysis and reporting on results from the Employee Engagement Survey is overseen by the Employee Engagement Survey Advisory Committee, co-chaired by the associate vice chancellor for human resources in University Human Resources (UHR), and the assistant vice provost for institutional survey research and analysis in Institutional Strategy and Analysis.
An overview of the project, including a brief background on the survey, summary results from the most recent administration, examples of action plans stemming from past administrations of the survey, and the advisory committee membership is available on the UHR website for the project.
Detailed results, including copies of presentations, a dashboard, and tables with results broken out by demographic and employee sub-groups, are provided on the ISA website.
