Innovation Awaits: Free NCCI Access for NC State Faculty and Staff
February 2025 | Courtney Thornton
Transformation is a clear theme throughout NC State’s FY25-27 Implementation Plan and its initiatives. NC State recently became an institutional member of the Network for Change and Continuous Improvement (NCCI) — a community of higher education professionals dedicated to advancing change, innovation and continuous improvement at and across their institutions. Through the institutional membership, all NC State faculty and staff can access free educational webinars, discounted conference rates and exclusive online content.
Genevieve Rockett, Implementation Specialist in Institutional Strategy and Analysis (ISA), and I leapt into exploring NCCI’s offerings, attending two recent events. Our experience so far? We feel that NCCI delivers widely applicable content while engaging and building a community of professionals navigating similar challenges and opportunities.
Check out these opportunities to take advantage of NC State’s membership.
Free Monthly Webinars
Each month, NCCI holds one-hour Power60 webinars on topics related to advancing change, innovation and continuous improvement in higher education. Genevieve attended the January webinar, “Setting Your Project Team Up for Success,” led by presenters from the Operational Excellence unit at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and appreciated the practical resources shared, as well as the engaging format.
The next Power60 webinar — “Change Management v. Project Management Triangles – Is it a fight or a dance?” — is set for Thursday, Feb. 20, from noon-1 p.m. EST.
NC State faculty and staff can join Power60 webinars for free, although registration is required. To register, individuals must create an NCCI profile.
Free Resource Library
Once you have an NCCI profile, you can access NCCI’s web-based resource library with links to past Power60 webinars, virtual workshops and other recordings of NCCI’s online education events.
NCCI’s Learning Framework includes six core focus areas: change management, leadership, project management, organizational development, strategy and emerging trends. This framework drives the focus of NCCI’s online education program and offerings.
Annual Conference Discount
Registration opens soon for the NCCI annual conference in Atlanta, Georgia from July 8-11. As an institution member, NC State faculty and staff are eligible for a discounted registration rate.
