Faculty/Staff Surveys
The Institutional Strategy and Analysis office is responsible for administering or facilitating the administration of institution-wide surveys of NC State employee. Colleges and divisions across campus use results to assess and improve employee well-being and engagement, and in recruitment and retention efforts. See below for a list of surveys, and links to detailed information about them and reports on results from over the years.
- Faculty Surveys: Collaboration on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE) Survey A triennial, national survey (e.g., Spring 2015, Spring 2018, Spring 2021) of pre-tenured, tenured, and professional track faculty
- Staff Surveys: Staff Well-Being Survey A locally developed survey of all permanent, full-time non-instructional staff, administered about every five years (e.g., Spring 2008, Spring 2014)
- Employee Engagement Survey
A biennial (e.g., Spring 2018, Spring 2020, Spring 2022) UNC system-wide survey of all permanent, full-time employees
- University Police Department Satisfaction Survey
A biennial (previously triennial) survey (e.g., AY20-21, AY22-23) administered to a random sample of NC State students, faculty and staff to assess the University Police Department’s services and perceptions of campus safety
