The survey staff in Institutional Strategy and Analysis can provide consultation services on designing and administering a survey, as time permits. We can also point you to research in best practices, a wide array of educational tutorials, and other resources on campus. In addition, we welcome the opportunity to share our survey data with you to explore on your own.

  If you are thinking about administering a survey and want to ensure that you gather the best data possible for your research needs and that you are appropriately following ethical guidelines, a good place to start is by familiarizing yourself with the best practices of survey design.
