National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)
NC State is one of hundreds of four-year colleges and universities nationwide participating in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). The NSSE asks first-year students and seniors about their experiences in activities that existing research shows to be related to positive learning and developmental outcomes. NSSE combines various items in the survey to create “benchmark” measures in four specific categories: Academic Challenge, Learning with Peers, Experiences with Faculty, and Campus Environment.
